Whee!
In grand style, Klegman, Alex, and I met Elissa up over at Spice House for what I suspect is going to become semi-regular Friday Night Indian.
Delicious food was consumed, topics discussed, and a Bollywood movie was explored. From the gist (no subtitles and low volume on the sound), it seemed to involve an Indian vesion of a Mary Poppins story, except Mr. Darling wasn't seeking a nanny because he was involved in a DWI car accident that killed a bunch of people. (Seriously, this is how the movie started: Drinking, party, party, party, HORRENDOUS CAR CRASH, dead people being pulled from the wrecked car he hit, and all of the sudden he's in front of the judge and under house arrest with a bunch of kids, and Mary Poppins is descending from Heaven on a hot pink electric rainbow bicycle to help him out.)
After that, Dave's plans to go see Tropic Thunder were dashed, so we decided to go just hang out, torture the cats, watch some Olympics, and Elissa brought over this, which turned out to be a surprisingly good Finnish wushu movie. Very fun.
Then we deposited Elissa back into her apartment and fell upon Perkins for pie and additional discussions, until we arrived here after seeing Dave off for the night.
I have to do a ton of laundry and figure out my logistics for next weekend, but right now? I feel fantastically recharged. Even getting an OD call in the middle of the movie because someone didn't bother to reset his password after it expired on Wednesday and now it's an emergency didn't harsh my buzz too much.
