Sep. 11th, 2007 06:54 pmThough it's meant me getting up at 6am each morning and working very hard, there's something really, really satisfying about getting to send my boss pictures of the rooms that, when I got here, were so full of old monitors, software, servers, cruft, and crap that I couldn't fully open some of the doors....and are now empty.
Shelves are cleared. You can see the walls. Several racks that held decomissioned servers and choked with cabling now stand open, empty, and peaceful.
Of course, the "collection" point lounge is now so covered in shit that we can't see the carpet anymore, but after tomorrow, that'll be fixed, too.
I fuckin' rock.
Also: Jack Astor's? Really nice restaurant/bar up here.
And it seems we're heading out for dinner in a short time. Woohoo!

Date: 2007-09-12 10:35 am (UTC)We're using Intechra's Canadian branch. They're going to be meeting me at the office around 9 this morning with a semi truck that'll haul it all to their recycling centre over in Hamilton.
