Rick Tocchet can come back to the NHL, provided he keeps his nose clean.

I really wasn't sure what I'd feel about the verdict on this, but I'm OK with it. He is being held accountable, he's being made to go through substance abuse/gambling abuse treatment, and he knows that if he violates his terms (ie: does as much as a march madness bracket), he's done, permanently.

From what it sounds, with the exception of talking to "leauge members" (and that's a really hard condition to meet when you consider he lives in the same neighborhood as Gretzky and Roenick...I mean, they could be dinging him on this because he's a member of the neighborhood association!), he's accepted his guilt, been straight with the leauge and the cops, and he stayed out of any contact with hockey, gambling, etx.

I hope he keeps straightening himself out, and that he goes back to Phoenix and being a good coach. (I don't think it's a co-incidence that the Coyotes went from a .500 club to a .150 club after he left...)
