Checking down the weekend
Dec. 16th, 2007 10:14 amHack3r INC Christmas party: Good! Nice to meet my corpmates in person (or a decent chunk of them, anyhow), and met several other EVE players who showed up as well. Plus, hanging out in Gameworks for a few hours is never a bad experience. (Even if they don't have ANY fighting games anymore. WTF? I mean, I like racers and Time Crisis as much as anyone, but...)
Skee-ball: I totally broke 800,000 on one of my games.
Shootin' Pool: I was ON. FIRE. last night. Perfect combination of beer, muscle fatigue and relaxation to let me line up a bunch of shots and not use too much force or too much english to overcompensate. Got the game-winner on 3 of the Hack3r vs. Everyone Else games, and broke followed by sinking 5 in a row on the 4th.
Alison's birthday: Taking her out to late lunch/dinner on Wednesday, got her present this morning (Amazon 1-day shipping FTW! Only $6!), and probably going to grab some ornamental glass birds for my grandmother as well to go with the book we bought her.
Snowpocalypse: Really not that bad so far - the roads were pretty bad early Saturday, then we got some rain/sleet mix that actually improved them a bit, the plows cleared things a bit more, and now it's snow on top of ice, which is "fun" but managable. We only got about 2 inches, if that - certainly not the 8 that were predicted at one point for last night, but supposedly we're going to get another 3 inches today, so I suppose we'll see...
