That was fun!
Sep. 22nd, 2008 10:41 pmAt the urging of Bethany I went downtown to Mac's tonight for a meetup of several CBJ bloggers and visiting Avs blogger Tapeleg (in town due to working on the touring crew for The Lion King. Ironically, Bethany wasn't able to make it!
However, I got some nice compliments about my pictures and posting at HFBoards, drank a fine amount of Boddingtons, had a really fun BS session, and the girl who does Neutral Zone Trap is cute. (I really doubt she's available, but she's cute!)
Thoughts are very mixed at the prospects for this year - I think the general theme is "Damn, we are a lot better...but a lot of other teams got better, too."
I've come to the conclusion (and somewhat repeated assertion) that Columbus is going to live or die by our Eastern conference schedule. If we can break close to even in most of our Western games, the East may well be where we earn the 12-18 points that make the difference between a postseason berth and golf.
Of course, nothing is certain, and it's still real early, but who knows? There's certainly hope.
