However, it -did- let me meet the mailman at the door for the first of two packages I should be getting from Amazon over the next couple days, which included several books I got myself for my birthday and the FlameKa kit for my mixer. :) I'm extremely pleased with how it came out!

Good luck with the food poisoning - it sucks. :( Hope you feel better soon.

And your mixer is AWESOME. :D I love how the flames look. I've got a kitchenaid too, but it's one with family history instead of awesome looks. It's avacado. :)

Family history is important, too! :) But I am -so happy- with this thing. I'm gonna be insufferable when the meat grinder gets here.

I'm doing a bit better. Just feel very week and still kinda nauseous. I was supposed to go out for dinner with my (soon to be) D&D group tonight and I think I'm going to have to give it a pass. :(

Funny little story too - Dad, way back in college, kept an eye on a dinged Kitchenaid mixer in a store, and watched as the price steadily dropped as it didn't sell. It was down to 60-70% when he finally bought it for thirty bucks.

And then promptly took it to a Kitchenaid service center and pointed out to them that the mixer he'd bought had a ding. They gave him a new one. For free. :D I'm definitely keeping this old beastie, even if I ever get a new one (the first two gears are stripped out, so it has setting one, then four. x_x).

Oooh, meat grinder. :D

Hmm, something that I discovered is good for tender tummy when I was recovering my bout of severe food poisoning . . . gheeze, nearly two years ago . . . is Italian wedding soup. I love chicken noodle, but about one can a week is all I can bear to eat at a time for some reason.

EPIC AWESOME.

Sorry about the food poisoning, I would definitely let the mgr of that Wendy's know in case a lot of people who ate there got sick...

Alex made some noodles and cabbage and it's stayed down so far, so that's good. I went ahead and called off D&D and will probably go to bed early.
