Ow.

Due to a couple of mistakes on my part, money is going to -really- suck for the next month or two.

I'm seriously looking at a second job or some kind of part time work again. I'm sick of feeling like we're constantly on the edge of a knife here, financially.

Edit: Well, what the hell. Found a few decent possibilities in classifieds so I reached out to them.

I know how you feel and have been there. Nancy is thinking the same thing, and sometimes so am I.

/me nods.

Shame that we couldn't go out and find a way to make money to help all of each other out. :( Oh, well.

Yeah, I'm mostly looking at phone banking, some retail, and a couple of weekend IT consulting/on-call type places. Though I did find a thing for a BBQ caterer...we'll see. That'd be a lot of fun, I think.

BBQ would be much more fun than phone support, I would think.

I worked for a while for tutor.com -- the money was low but steady; I ran out of time to do it. But the good part is you can do it anywhere you have a broadband connection and a PC.

It certainly would, but hours would be the main concern.

Hm. Know anyone I can reach out to there, or should I just try to apply?

I'd just go through the application process -- it's pretty straightforward, unless they've started charging people for background checks or some nonsense like that.

Fucking hell I wish I knew about that site months ago.

Well, the good news is I'm apparently qualified to tutor in both Social Studies and English.

The bad news is they don't need any tutors for those subjects right now. :(

that 2nd line sounds like the start of a hilarious and wacky movie (and guess what...if successful those will make some extra bucks).

It kinda does, yeah, but I'm thinking as much about a bank heist at this point. :)

Not memorable enough. If we're going into crime, we need to make a real splash. Diamonds anyone?

too hard to turn into money...paper trails...etc. not worth the effort. We get prohibition reinstated and go the bootlegger route...that way there'd be speedy driving involved at all times.
