It's amazing how a little thng can make you happy.

Upgraded to XP SP1 today. Nothing major's blown up yet. No big deals.

Upgraded AIM to 5.1.

In AIM 5.1, there's a little scrollbar that shows if the person you're chatting with is typing, has entered text but not sent, or if they've not responded.

I realize this is a really -wierd- thing to find neat. But I'm fascinated by it.

They used to have that feature in ICQ. Or you could go to split-screen IRC style mode and watch while they typed. It was a cool way to see what they were doing at that particular instant.

I think it's knowing that NOT only is the person there, but that they give enough of a rat's aft to actually be responding. Very refreshing if there is a situation where you're hanging on every word typed by the other party.

Hmmm. This is mostly a heads up post to let you know that I'm still out there and interested in what's going on with your life. :D
