I have a sundae cone. This is great. You've no idea. Really.

Past that, the morning was spent between Andrews Library, Wishart hall, and my desk. Not bad at all, really. And thanks to some creative accounting by John, I now also have a nice 2 button Kensington Optical Mouse to hook into the iBook.

Needless to say, being able to right click again is liberating, and once again Jaguar becomes just that much cooler.

There were snafus with Lowry about me being allowed to eat there, but it was worked out, and at this rate, I might actually even eat dinner there, too.

We'll see.

I have to go back to the library at 3:30 and inflict tribal justice on those who refuse to understand that using Windows XP for word processing is really the same as using Win2000, and insist on one on one training.

Pray for them.

Oooo.

Found out there's new Xbox Live content up today for Mechassault.

Guess what /I'm/ doing when I get off work?

...I don't see the last part, but okay.

Forgot to write about the one other major thing that happened today.

I put a car payment ticket marked "12" into an envelope with a check, and I mailed it.

Yeah. :D

D/L'd the new mechassault content tonight. Haven't tried the new maps or CTF over Live because...well...I just had to jump into each of the new mechs and take a few turns around the Grinder to get a feel for them.

So. Here we go.

Loki: Okay. The good news is that it's a Loki. You're fast, extremely heat efficient, ECMed, and carry a fairly diverse weapons spread.
The bad news is that you are still piloting a Loki. You have shit armor, your diverse weapons are often ineffective (your ACs are pathetic), and if you don't use the stealth well, you are gonna get punked.

Hellbringer: JESUS CHRIST! Take a Loki. Improve the mobility, give it jumpers, give it HOMING FLAMERS OF BALLS OF FUCKING FIRE !!!, give it a tiny LRM rack rather than a medium SRM rack, and you have a truly awesome mech for fast in close combat. This thing was amazing in River City, and its' heat signature is just as low as the Loki if not lower. No stealth, but I'm willing to make the trade. I like it a lot. Might even replace the Bowman as my preferred 'low end' heavy mech.

I like these. A lot. Should be fun to take them out onto Live and enjoy.
(Side note: Go read this if you have any interest in theological examinations of the Matrix Reloaded. It's not bad at all.)

And now, the survey larger than Stonehenge. )
