Got the Russian down here so he could vent, watch some football, eat wings, relax, and blow things up. Much venting was done, things were eaten and killed, and Monster Garage was watched.

Also discussed how Kant helps you predict what's gonna happen on American Chopper due to his examinations of reason and human nature.

Had a great idea for a Technocracy game which we'll so have to do sometime. Heheehehee.

Good news: I got the confirmation that my student loans will be paid electronically out of my checking account.

Bad news: Managed to slice my finger up opening the envelope. Why am I not surprised?

Seems like every time I get a paper cut, the federal government is involved.

Hedging my bets and applied for a bunch of jobs at Time Warner and AOL's Columbus branches for networking/level 2/3 support. I figure it can't hurt.

Also, oddly enough, DC comics is hiring a few people to do internal support. Put one in there, too. :D No idea if that'll go anywhere, but what the hell?

Does it count as a working vacation if I'm working to get new jobs while on vacation?

1/2 hour's workout == 3600 pouds per arm / 7200 lbs total. And the odd thing is, after about 20 minutes, it's like I get a second wind. The weights feel a touch lighter, and it's even easier to do reps. I could get to like this.

Huh.

After seeing tons of ads for Carnivale on TV tonight, I decided to look up just what the fuck it was. (Also because the bearded lady they show flashes of looked like Claudia Christansen, and I was curious.) Seems like something I'd watch if bored, but not go out of my way for. What's interesting, though, is that I looked into Clancy Brown's bio, and apparently he's actually from Ohio. Neat. He's not exactly an Oliver, but he does seem a decent enough guy who does roles that I keep seeing.

You ever have a moment when you know you're alone, and there's no possible reason that someone could be inside, but when you close your eyes for a second, you suddenly feel someone's behind you?

Until about 10 seconds ago, I thought that only happened in horror movies, but it just happened to me. Creepy. My heart's still pounding a bit.

I actually think that besides being bored, one of the semi-frustrating aspects is that I haven't actually gotten to talk to Lisa since Sunday, and even if it was just a quick exchange of hugs and such, it'd be nice to have a moment with her.

I think she's working extra for the holiday, but my brain's farting out about if she actually told me that, or if my mind is drawing together patterns and facts again.

In less esoteric or pitiable news, I've been playing with Megamek's large scale scenario abilities. Defended a Falcon Garrison with a Solahma binary and 2 points of elementals vs. a raiding Wolf binary from the 4th Assault Cluster. Not bad. I've had an urge to really get into tabletopping again, and I want to get my tactics and quick strategy skills back up to what they used to be before I attempt it.

(If anyone's curious, I used Level 4 honor for the Solahma, and set the Wolves to level 2. However, the Wolf force violated Zellbrigen pretty early, so I assumed the garrison would as well after a few turns of that.)

In fact...what the hell.
