Took Alison to work, paid Cellphone bill (all bills for the month paid YAAAAAAAAAY) got an iTrip on sale from CompUSA for my old-style iPod, and came back to gear it up.

Also loaded the OMC soundtrack into iTunes, as well as Evanesence's Origin album, and found that I am approaching less than .5GB of space left. Going to start saving for a new iPod and I'll give this one to Alison as a gift.

Alex will be over shortly for the harrowing of the townhouses, and we may take one final trip out to examine the top two or three before settling on our final choice.

Well, it's done.

Pending the approval of our credit checks (which the manager felt would be not a problem at all after viewing our paperwork) this will be our new home. Alex covered the application fee, and I put in the security deposit.

We'll move on or just after June 15th. Rent will be pro-rated based on our move. July's rent will be free, and August and September will be half off.

As a backup, we also applied here, which requires less rent (OSU and Sterling are in their preferred employer program, meaning 5% off each month's rent, free application, reduced security deposit, and a reduced base rent rate.) We'd get July for free there, also.

Either will be great, but Perimeter is ideal.

Had dinner at Fire Mountain because Perimeter said there was an outside chance of credit approval that evening, and we wanted to stay close. But the credit checker place must have closed for the holiday. No biggie. Besides, it was decent steak and all you can eat buffet for $8 apiece. [livejournal.com profile] neeri met us after work, and we went up over to a few places while there. Trader Joe's, a video shop where I got the Hellsing box set (The HK 2-disc version, but sadly without the repro pistols) for $25, and a few other places.

I think it's gonna be good. Alex and I were already talking about starting to cook and have people over for weekly dinner/movie nights on the weekends, getting a regular card game going, and having friends over to be social and enjoy ourselves.

We started planning how we'll arrange the place if we get Perimeter, and the excitement is palpable.

Our lives are moving.

Mmm. Iscariot is so creepily hardassed in the Manga.

Y'know, much as I'd enjoy cosplaying Alucard, if we can't find the guns (they've all disappeared off eBay, dammit. And I can't find any stores online with them. Anyone have better luck, please tell me), I might just have to get River Street Smiths or someone similar to smith me a set of Andersen's swords. The gloves would certainly be easier to do. I'd just have to go blonde for a bit....

A tornado warning is in effect. The map looks like someone took a box of red, yellow, and orange crayons, and covered most of eastern Indiana and Western/central Ohio. The storms are fantastic.

I'm chatting with [livejournal.com profile] demeterschild while we try to keep tensed for the inevitable sirens. The rain here keeps varying from so intense that the windows shake to a light patter. Usually within minutes of each.

Edit: WOW. I pulled out the Hellsing box, and this is definently a bootleg. No dub, and with Engrish to a monstrous degree. :D But, it's kinda fun....I'll probably keep it around for laughs. And the Japanese track is perfect, as is the transfer. I suppose I'll buy the ADV set at some point, I guess.
