Oh yeah... I forgot about the monk. Those stats are good for that too, at least by 3e standards (I never saw the 1e monk, and I forget what the OD&D mystic was like). :) -- Pteryx
I'm mildly surprised I didn't think of that myself.
BZA, since the monk idea seems to be your favorite, mind if I indulge myself in here and work up an abbreviated level progression for all to see? ;) -- Pteryx
If you want the 10% exp bonus: Fighter or Cleric. Decent stats for a thief. I think you just miss the ranger requirements (con 13, maybe?), which is too bad. Just shy of druid stats, too (cha 15).
Cleric is really your best twink-tastic choice. Without a hp bonus, you're kinda screwed as a fighter, but the extra spells from the high wisdom score will really help you out.
Don't worry, I won't spend all afternoon on it or work out all the derived stats. ;)
I'm assuming a human, since, well, you are. Right? ;)
Level 1: Martial Weapon Proficiency: Bows and Education as initial feats. The two +1s from Education go to Knowledge: Religion and... well, wherever you think the second +1 would go. You get 24 skill points now and 6 at every level thereafter, so let's max out five Knowledges and Diplomacy, Mr. "I'm sorry for things I had absolutely no responsibility for." ;) Level 3: Take Blind-Fight. Level 4: Bump your Wisdom by a point, for your AC, stunning fist DC, and... Level 6: Zen Archery. ...What? It is a feat! Though I feel they did it wrong. The Wis bonus should apply only outside precision range, not only inside... Level 8: Bump your Con, as you need the HP. Heck, you've had a good workout by now anyway. Level 9: Weapon Focus: unarmed strike. Level 12: Ah, the power-up level! Bump your Str and take Weapon Focus: composite longbow. Level 15: Improved Critical: composite longbow, to really stun people with your accuracy. Level 16: Bump your Wisdom again, and you qualify for... Level 18: Blindsight 5' Radius! So you can fully get away with wandering around with a blindfold. Level 20: Bump Wis one last time.
