Life. Is. Good.

John handed me an iBook when I got into work after lunch. "Format it, wipe it clean, and put Jaguar on it. Then decide what applications you need to use."
Me: "...need to use?"
John: "You're getting a desktop and a laptop for the internship. This laptop just came back from getting upgraded. It's yours."
Me: ...*glee*

So, I've now got a 350 mhz iBook with 192 MB of ram, 10.2.5. The hard disk is under 10 gigs, which kinda sucks, but I'm on the list for another upgrade during the year. :> And it even came with an Airport card. It's currently sitting next to me downloading updates. Also put Safari and office X on it.

Once the updates finish, I'm gonna see about putting Savitar on it, too, so that [livejournal.com profile] skarlette can use it while she's out here to MUSH or whatever if she wants. (Not that I'd ever MUSH from work...)

Now I just have to re-learn how to type on a laptop keyboard.

EDIT: Oh. While I'm thinking. The iBook did /not/ come with a bag. John suggested I just use my backpack, but my backpack is starting to fall apart after 4 years of hard use. I'm half considering one of the megatokyo bags, but I wondered if people had bags they'd had good experiences with?
Edit of the edit!: It doesn't have firewire, no. I wish it was an iBook SE. Not /quite/ that cool. But it is orange! And it's a clamshell! And it's not the crappy white tablet version! Because those look and feel like bricks.
