Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] llyander, I read an article on just how expanded TTT is going to be when the expanded version comes out. Answer: Really, really expanded.

I don't want to go to work today...can someone give me a free pass?

...woke up to a documentary on Jack the Ripper. Huh. Never knew he was an organlegger.

You are a good geek. Congratulations, you can
navigate the real world and still maintain the
things that make you a geek.

how seriously geeky are you?

You are a Realist!
You put a lot of thought into your character's
actions, and behave as if you are really in the
world. You keep things realistic, and probably
have popped a few Drama Queen balloons.

To my knowledge, they never really discovered who 'Jack the Ripper' was. Oh, they had some suspects, but I don't think they conclusively proved any of them were guilty. Hell, even cops were being accused at some points.

Some of the photos I've seen of the bodies are stomach-turning, and they're all the worse because they're real; those aren't dummies or the results of the makeup department. I'm just thankful they hadn't developed colour photography at that time.

Actually, part of this was looking at the top 3 subjects, and modern forensic scientists are pretty sure it was this polish guy who was investigated, and then committed to an asylum about 2 weeks after the murders stopped. Neat stuff.

And yes, several of the photos made me glad that I don't eat breakfast.

Hmm, sounds interesting. I'll have to check the newspaper and see if the doco comes out here on ABC or SBS. They're the only channels that show documentaries here, since the commercial networks are aiming for the people with five-minute attention spans.

Since it was a History Channel one, you might even be able to order it on VHS or DVD and get it shipped...I think they offer stuff for Australia.
