Home again!

[livejournal.com profile] skarlette's gonna be getting a win2k CD from a friend, soon, and that will hopefully end the PC drama. :D If not, I dunno. I'll figure out /something./

Work went well, though quite busily today, and I was surprised to get called into my Boss's office.

"I need to discuss hours with you."
Me: with light fear "Oh? What's up?"
"Oh, nothing bad. Just that Mike B.'s girlfriend got hired by the Public Info office, and she'll be working 8-5, and he wants to know if he can switch from 9-6 to an 8-5 schedule. Would you mind trading with him?"
Me: "Oh! Well, cool. I think I can deal with taking an extra hour of sleep."

Boss: Remind me, why do we pay you again?
Me: My charming personality?

When the Lord and Master who is determining who shall work and who shall not starts speaking in such a manner, things always get nervous. Glad to hear your hours have improved. ^^

It should be interesting. It's not that different, really. Just a bit of a shift.

If she has to reformat, or if she doesn't, get her to download ad-aware? Spanky good program at getting the creepiest stuffs you can pick up from magic cookies, or find a website has forced your computer to download. It's saved my PC from needing a second reformatting.

Now if only I could get the ram the booger needs to run the Sims at full speed . . . 'scuse me, I started babbling.

The extra hour of sleep = good, but getting off at six puts you at the middle to tail end of rush hour, right? Or do you not need to drive? I've forgotten. o.o

As I'm a perennial afternoon person, I much prefer getting up later - but that's just me. Your milage, obviously, will vary.

We already reformatted. The modem just doesn't want to work right with the generic driver. So we'll try 2k and it's built in driver for that brand, and hopefully it'll all be better. Past that, I don't really need to drive that far, and traffic in Wooster really isn't that bad.
