Get home: Urgent voicemail.

"Sweetie? It's me. The modem arrived...and apparently it's a little too new for the computer, because my computer sorta killed itself when we hooked it into the COM port. Call me?"

Insert panic attack.

Bad news: Lisa's old PC was older than shit, and apparently this was the last straw. (Plug and Play decided to confuse Modem and Mouse, and went off the deep end.)

Good news: Lisa went to speak to a guy who she occasionally games with who builds PCs. He will either fix the PC, or sell her his most recent one for $300, of which she'll get $200 for from her mom, and pay the rest off over the next month or two.

Best news: She'll be online Sat/Sun.

Calming down, now. And I need to make some dinner.
