Annoying things:

Aer Lingus will fly you from Chicago to Shannon, Ireland...for $99. Round trip.

Every single American carrier will charge you $140 to go from Columbus to Chicago. Round trip.

It's a fuckin' racket.

Same thing with paying $2 a gallon for gas. Motherfuckers. $2 for 89 Octane!!?! WTF.

So then I should be glad I'm flying into C-bus for Ohayocon? $2 a gallon?! That's nuts! I'll keep my Iowan $1.48, thankyouverymuch. ^^;

...$99...

I remember when I wasted $734.99 USD from DFW to Dublin roundtrip in '96.

Cossacks.

Oh, wah, wah, says the person who doesn't have to pay for gas by the quart.

Oh, wait, I don't drive.

Why not drive to Chicago? Or take the Greyhound or something ...

It may be some sort of promotional special, but yeah.

6 hours of driving away from her, alone, once, was all I needed.

Plus, gas and tolls came to about $98 all told, which wasn't that fun either. :D

MMMmmmmmmm.

Back to your far more efficient Eurorails and mass transit systems!

It's not a racket. You wouldn't have this problem if you were from Chicago. They're just punishing you for living in a substandard city. *flees*

I'm gonna just stick my tongue out at you, now.

Ah, but Aer Lingus makes up for it by never leaving on time. At least that was our experience and well, Dan O'Connor's dad's experience as well, as he worked for them for years.

everything on this page is so dark

For $99, I think I could deal with lateness.

Could be your browser. I've got this layout customized for Opera 7.

For $99 I could put up with um, something that one would not normally put up with.
In all reality, the Aer Lingus flights I was on were great. They fed us edible food and plied us with free drinks. Highly recommended - just don't get pulled to the side for any kind of anti-terrorism shoe check thingy, as THAT SUCKED.

probably was the browser, I was at work and using netscape. either that or your page has a very black soul

*nods* Trust me, I know. Been a victim of that myself.

See? Netscape == evil. Come into the liiiiight. Or the soul thing. Which I can't confirm or deny. But would you like this kitten fresh, boiled, baked, or fried?

Airline prices make no sense to me. I looked into plane tickets for spring break, a ticket to Portland is $230 and a ticket to Tampa is $300. Not qute the same leap, but still it raises the question of who sets the prices for tickets and what is their gage.
