Computers playing RPGs about human computer nerds. So disturbing. So cute.
Also in the cute department: New G5 iMac. Disturbingly shiny.

Date: 2004-08-31 02:15 pm (UTC)That and the slot-loading CD drive I've got mixed feelings on. Yeah, they're cool, but you'll always come across the minicd (Bionicle, anyone?) that will mean someone getting it stuck in the drive.
That and one thing the iLamp has as an advantage is the cables in the base. While this iMac will still swivel up and down, rotating left and right means the entire computer, and all its umbilical cords.
Would I get this for myself? Probably not. I've got enough legacy stuff and used parts that I'd rather some expansion, even if I end up not using it. Would I get this for Mom or Dad? Yeah. That's the target audience.
One thing to note, with a smirk. Imagine doing tech support for these in a mixed computer environment. You thought it was bad with users confusing the monitor for the computer before...
