Don't pack them in newspaper. I did that once when I was sending something to the UK and it jacked shipping up to, like, $20 'cause of the weight.

That might work. MIght want to wrap the limbs in plastic or put 'em in a bag as well. Prevent leakage. Post office might take exception to leakage.
