Note to self: If you ever stumble onto the last ep of RahXephon again with someone who hasn't seen the series before also watching, it's really, really, really not possible to explain it. Just change channel and don't try.

In other news: Turkey is good. Snow is good. A mild cold is bad. I look like a Commisar in my new coat, and my Black Friday shopping was confined to Cat Food.

Agreed. RahXephon is good, but the complexity is on par to Evangelion. In fact, RahXephon is Evangelion, but with a main character who has a backbone.

We almost managed to complete our mission of not buying anything on Black Friday, but then we unexpectedly had the niece and nephew over. So it was off to Target for children's Nyquil, teepee, and Moon Boots for the niece. Then to Best Buy for a concert DVD for Le Neph. Then later to Half-Price Books for edumacational Mac software for the niece.

I felt compelled to get the niece stuff coz she's so darned cute. And also because we just bought her older brother a shiny secondhand iMac so he can use Garage Band.

Having children to spoil destroys my anticonsumer intentions.

PS have you seen the RahXephon movie? I remember I watched it and was vaguely dissatisfied, but other than that... I can't remember ANYTHING. It's probably time to watch everything again.

Gary says I scored a lot of Cool Aunt Points, anyhow. Considering I have very few blood relatives, and none of them but my father wants anything to do with me (and even with him the relationship is awkward and at arm's length), being a cool aunt is important to me.
