bzarcherAs I mentioned awhile back, they barred all the stairwells in the building due to construction, leaving the only access to most of the inhabited sections of the building via elevator. (This is one of the many interesting ways they plan to kill us all.)
A few minutes ago, I got a call from an employee who normally works at home, but who had called in about bringing her machine by for some work.
"You're going to think this is silly...but can you come down and get the computer from me?"
"Well, that's not a problem, but it'll be a minute or two."
"Oh, that's OK! As long as I don't have to ride that elevator! I'm claustrophobic..."
I can see how a stairway would be less threatening to a claustrophobe. I can't imagine what it'd be like if she worked in this building full-time.
I wonder how many other people are dealing with the same thing, here, and what can be done for them, aside from temporarily letting them work from home or in another building. I can't imagine she's the only one to have this come up.
