This has not been a good day for trying to eliminate material desires.

For one, I found out that I won a copy of World War Z at the forumopolis writing contest. (Yay!)

Then, I found out that Apple's dropped the price on the 30GB iPod, and I may just have to finally buy one after moving is all done and finished. (Tho, c'mon, Steve. Why tease us with those badass looking brushed metal finishes on the redesigned Shuffle and Nano, and keep the Video unchanged? I swear, if you'd brought out a brushed metal 30GB, I'd probably have gone and bought it tonight!)

And then, dear readers, I saw this, and my only conscious thought as I watched the demonstration video was "WANT."

I feel your pain, but for different reasons.

Between Oblivion and Darkstar One, I am finding it difficult to not justify the purchase of a video card that can properly handle the diffuse and/or colored lighting effects that are all the rage of late.

Please note I'm in grad school with no funding other than my own wallet at the moment, and really don't need to be spending this money.
