Another step up the mountain

We have a lawnmower, now!

I'll take a crack at the lawn tonight, if my knee behaves and the weather holds.

It's funny - at the apartment, I'd get frustrated by things breaking, maintenance needed, etx, because I couldn't or wasn't allowed to fix them, and I had to wait on the repairmen's leisure.

Here, I'm actually pretty excited by the opportunities to go out and fix stuff. It's a nice change, because I know that -I- can make things happen.

D'ya know, I felt the same way about the repairs thing when I was looking at buying an apartment. In my rental unit I've had shredded screens for over a year. If I owned the place I could have replaced them right away rather than waiting for our maintenance people to get around to doing low priority repairs.

I predict many fun days ahead of you at your local hardware store. :) Eee, so happy for you!
