Beard = Power?

I'm stuck at work for a bit longer, so here's a random thought.

Early career Alton Brown: Clean Shaven. Short hair. A bit nebbishy, but with great potential.

Episode I Obi-Wan Kenobi: Clearn Shaven. Short hair. A bit inexperienced, but with great potential.

Mid-career Alton Brown: A little facial hair, a little longer hair, great confidence and a rising star in his organization.

Episode II Obi-Wan Kenobi: Longer air, rocking the 'stache, rising up through the Jedi and well on his way to being a hero.

Current Alton Brown: Rocking the full beard, nicely done longer hair, pretty bad-ass and getting to do all the fun stuff, plus going out on the road for high adventure.

Episode III Obi-Wan Kenobi: Rocking the full beard, nicely done longer hair, bad-ass, etx etx.

Now, I'm not saying Alton Brown is a Jedi Knight (though I'm not saying he -isn't-, either), but it's kinda interesting.

Hell, watch the Iron Chef America or Feasting on Asphalt from this weekend. His beard/stache combo even looks just like Ewan McGregor's in Episode III. It's a little freaky.
