Disturbing as it is, 3-2-1 is the best the club has ever started a season. :D

If we can keep this up for when we have Vancouver at home on Sunday...oh, mama. I get the impression that the gears are starting to mesh, and the dread engine of Hitchcockian awesome starting to turn.

Should I thank the Jackets for beating the Sabres when the Leafs couldn't? It wasn't just McCabe's screwup... if they'd played better, there would not have been OT.

Also... why do some Leafs fans *insist* on blaming Raycroft every time the Leafs lose?

As to Rayzor, it's a lot easier to blame a "Journeyman" goaltender on his (3rd? 4th?) team than it is to admit that the highest paid defense in the league is slow off the puck and doesn't get in nearly enough to block lanes and shots.

Raycroft? Second team. He started off on the Bruins... and he's 27. He won the Calder, and then there was the lockout the next year. And then? He got injured and missed most of the next season... which is how he lost the starter's position and the backup as well. (not to mention that he hates being interviewed - you can tell by how he acts when he *is* being interviewed) And the fans booing doesn't help a player's confidence... so is it really any surprise that Raycroft plays badly and continues to when he gets booed?

As for the league's highest paid defence, yeah, it is. And I didn't like Gill or Kubina even before they got signed by *F*JFJ. Kaberle and McCabe have been Leafs for a while and play well as a D pair. White and Wozniewski are doing a better job than Gill and Kubina...
