A guy from Now Public decided to use some of my pictures from last night for his NHL roundup. That's awesome!

Got the Ann Arbor deployment server and labs sorted, finally, so I am -not- driving to Michigan tonight, despite the best efforts of a trainer to power down the deployment server in the middle of a blast.

Took Onyx to the vet, and he's backslid a little - his weight hasn't changed and his PCV was down to 25, which is "Healthy, but not as healthy as we'd like", so it's back to antibiotics and a new food for him to have in addition to the iams, and $150 from my tax return that I would have spent otherwise if I'd the option, but ah, well...

Well, it's good that you don't have to go to Ann Arbor to fix stuff (plus, the weather here SUCKS).. but awww, I coulda drove up and hung out for a bit or somethin'. Only 45ish minutes or so away from the lovely city that shoulda been my new home instead of tiny tiny Jackson. (Really, Whole Foods is my new God of Groceries. I want to always live by one. Or live by one PERIOD. And, culture!)

True! But, there's always another time, I guess. :D

I like Whole Foods, but the prices for a lot of their stuff just...mmhp. If I'm paying that much for meat, cheeses, or veg, I go to the local guys like Carfagna's or Weyland's. I like Whole Foods idea, but I want to support the locals first if I know I'm paying a premium.

I think I'm in honeymoon-phase with Whole Foods, because i've never lived anywhere that has anything like it. And though Jackson theoretically could have a local food business going, what with half of being farms and all, I don't think it does. If it does, it's extremely poorly advertised! I mean, a grocery that has tons of actually-looks-fresh produce (not to mention the variety! I don't know why I'd want to eat a cactus, but apparently you can..), and the organic and all natural and everything... that's just... wow. I don't know how prices compare, because i've been there all of twice, but it's a grocery store I could literally spend hours in. Plus, they have miso paste!!! and edamame!! mmm....
