After the pain of Wednesday night, I have to admit it feels a -little- better to see the same Chicago team go into Nashville, probably our 2nd most hated rival, and the team currently in that final playoff spot we hoped so badly to sieze, and beat the Predators even worse than they beat us.

Chicago has been playing well after Savard's rant last month.

I guess they really did Commit to the Indian.

Still, I hope that (somehow!) the Jackets can get their wind back up against the Wings and Blues before they go up into Canada next week.

The Wings have lost, what, four in a row now? They will not be too happy tonight. Jackets have a lot of road games ahead. This does not bode well. Wonder if Howson will make deals for this season, or the future.

It's a trap game for both teams, I think. They're both going to come out angry, and they're both going to be expecting the other to slump.

Oddly enough, we've been better on the road than at home since the ASG...we'll see.

If I could predict Howson comfortably, I'd probably be a lot better off financially. :D Tarnstrom's been a nice addition since he came in, though.

Tarnstrom's added offense from the blue line, something no one has done from back there all year.

Hope they're healthy tonight, no more excuses.

From what I understand a lot of it has been Chris Osgood, who sort of decided to live up to his all-star performance. What I'm afraid of is that the Columbus offense is just the sort of thing he needs to get back into form.

Yeah, we ought to be angry, they're probably angry, and I predict lots of penalty minutes. But they're playing in Detroit so you know who'll serve most of them.

I hope they play better. Actually, they'd better play better. But I don't know how. All I can do is say that the franchise appears to be well run, and that's a first. I expect they're on TV tonight, so I'll still watch. I heard no excuses from anyone about Wednesday, none at all and the refusal to accept offered excuses from the press. I like that in a team. I think they'll be fine.

Interesting how the paper pointed out how much Hitchcock wants to keep Foote. Yeah, you could get something real for him, but he wants character guys, and I expect that will do well. Think they'll really leave Vborny at first line center tonight like the paper said?

*nods* The lack of excuses and the rise of accountability is a very nice thing. I think Foote will probably get re-signed for another 2 years, unless there's an offer we can't refuse, and if that's the case we might still see him back later on.

I'm crossing my fingers tonight, and we'll see what happens...I wish I knew where Vyborny fit into all of this. I'd honestly prefer to see him in the press box after a healthy scratch, but ah, well.
