There were two ways the team could go after Wednesday. Improbably, unexpectedly, and god-damn-I-can't-believe-itly, they got mad, they seem to have gotten their shit together, and they got up off the mat to beat the tar out of the League Leading Detroit Red Wings, who are currently being shut out 4-0.

If they can keep this up for the rest of the road trip, holy shit.

That was not the team that played on Wednesday night. Complete domination on all levels tonight. One of the best games in team history. What happens when they can establish any type of consistency?

If they keep playing like this on the road (and since the ASG, we -are- better on the road than at home for some reason), I expect a wild ride to the trade deadline next weekend.

Big rumors of Federov going back to Detroit are running around. He's supposed to play Sunday. Wonder how many scouts will be there.

Damn! And I ended up missing the game. It almost would have made up for the last two. It sound like they went ill on Detroit, who frankly doesn't look like much of a cup threat unless Osgood steps it up.

I know young teams are a little bouncy. I just hope they keep up the effort. What a fine win, I wish I could have seen it.
