Feb. 21st, 2008 11:20 pmThe Jackets improve to .500 on this road trip (woohoo) with a seriously awesome shootout win over Ottawa.
If they can win in Montreal, and follow the inexplicable and maddening pattern of playing up to elite competition, and stanking ass against teams they should be able to beat, they'll win in OT in Montreal and come home in better shape than I expected this road trip to be after the St. Louis game.
Meanwhile, after watching the Presidential debate replay...
Ignoring everything CNN is saying about how "Hilary launches comeback", is it me, or did Obama just destroy her? I mean, she got booed down by the crowd and verbally bitchslapped by Joe freaking Biden. God damn!
I think she's reaching -really hard- to try and pull John Edwards onto her platform before March 4th, and I suspect she's going to be burned.

Date: 2008-02-22 04:42 am (UTC)I shall now begin taking bets on this years Democratic national convention having some sort of actual political wrangling, instead of the usual rubber-stamp festival. Long odds on a repeat of needing riot cops, circia 1972(?) however.

Date: 2008-02-22 04:48 am (UTC)(There's also the small matter of her campaign being over $7 million in hock...she's had to float it a $5 mil loan, and she's also gotten a $2 mil. loan from her top political advisor.)
If there's a wrangle, I think it'll be for VP. At this point, I think she's slung too much mud to get it, but perhaps it'll be someone with her backing? We'll see.
