Jackets clip the Wings. :D We now lead that season series 3-1-1.

Man, you've no idea how cool it is to say that.

dklegman, check for youtubes of Malhotra's 2nd goal in the game - he basically hit the puck in midair for an infield single and into the net. :D I think you'll get a kick out of it.

9 games left. 15 points gets them to 92, which looks like about where you need to be for the postseason in the West this year. That's 6 wins and 3 OT losses.

Can they do it? I have no idea. But I think we're in for a show.

I certainly hope they can do it, but the loss to Chicago (which I didn't see but certainly looks bad on paper) sure hurt a lot. On the other hand, to go back and beat the Wings like that-- and with plenty of secondary scoring-- is a very good thing.

My goal is for them to go out with pride. As this is their best season ever, that's pretty achievable.

It's the "classic" problem from this season - they get up for the good teams, and play down to the bad ones.

Of course, on the upside, most of our schedule the rest of the way is "good" teams, and those last divisional games against Chicago and St. Louis...

Problem is once you beat the 'good' teams they start to get up for you.

I understand this a bit, hockey is a game of passion, and it's easier to get up for the Wings than the Kings. But the Jackets ought to know they aren't that good.

Still, it's been a good year to discover hockey.
