Damned Wuthering Heights. Don't finish it. (I had to read it three times for school. The only thing worse than reading Wuthering Heights is being eleven while doing it.)

That's actually why I (tried) to start it. It was on the reading list for...8th grade English? Yeah, 8th.

My mom is a huge Bronte nut. I'm personally a bit meh about the entire family, but I got a lot of them stuffed in my hands and onto my bookshelves as a kid, was later forced to do more in First Year Seminar at Wooster, and sort of slogged my way through the general body of their work -except- for Wuthering Heights. *shrug*

The copy of Jane Eyre was a gift from my mom, in fact, that has traveled with my various bookshelf iterations since I left for Wooster.

Did you make it halfway? Then you've read it. Second verse, same as the first.

Which, really, is kind of horrible. You'd think all these charming, smart, and self possessed characters would have better things to do.
