Another amazing day

bzarcherSo, like I mentioned, today was a trip up to Cleveland to the Cleveland Museum of Art and their Arms and Armor exhibit.
-Holy- -Crap-.
Not just a well done exhibit with great art and really good audio tour to take you through, but some of the most gorgeous armor and weapons I have ever seen - particularly some of the crossbows and harquebus' for nobles. Weapons so covered with intricate engraving and decorations that you can't imagine it being used, even for hunting.
Much of what was there was "practical" equipment for day to day use by soldiers, but there were some really exquisite items, and everything was just....well, perfect.
My granma got somewhat obsessed with a set of full plate armor for a horse. :D She couldn't believe the horse would tolerate (let alone move around in) all that armor. :> She kept coming back to it, walking around, and examining it after we finished the other rooms of the exhibit. I very nearly got a print of the horse and rider's armor for her. :D
Then, it was off to a delicious dinner at Sergio's on University Circle, amazing dessert, and a pleasant drive back.
Life is great right now. I cannot tell you how great life is right now. :D
