Not only is it a fairly offensive way to describe something, but one of the "new guys" at Boing Boing Gadgets is using so frequently that I could start to believe he has a macro on his machine that just automatically prefixes the word "Whore" to any mention of "Red".
When talking about a pimped out high tech hot tub, I can sorta understand the word choice. When talking about a laptop or a digital camcorder? Not so much.
I really liked BBG when it was just Joel posting stuff he liked, tried, or otherwise caught his eye. He's smart, and generally funny, and comes off as a bit low key, but in a good way.
Both of the new guys seem like they're trying to be "edgy" and have a different voice from Joel, and I'm increasingly not wanting to read the blog because they're coming off as jackasses who are forcing everything way too hard.
