Sometimes we need to be a little Operatic.

So, Alex was talking to Scary Devil Girl while raiding, and explaining that, because he let the pork shoulder temp drop a bit last weekend during smoking, plus the brine, instead of becoming Barbeque, we had instead basically hickory smoked our own ham. (Which still turned out quite good, and the leftovers were trans-substantiated into a tasty, if not kosher, ham curry yesterday).

To which she said, "Ham??"

And he said, "Ham!"

And she replied, "Ham?"

Because neither of them has a volume knob, I'd been able to hear all of this, so before Alex could reply again, I stepped in with a nice baritone "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"

Alex died laughing, and apparently I frightened Scary Devil Girl out of a few years of growth.

It's the little things that truly make life worth living.
