Jackets Prospects staying in Columbus for the summer.

As people may or may not know, depending how much you follow Columbus, one of our guys, Jared Boll, went from -low- round draft pick to an impact energy line guy last year, and part of how he did it was staying in Columbus over the summer and working out like a madman with the team's Strength and Conditioning coach.

People noticed, and this year, a ton of our prospects / AHLers who want to crack the lineup are here, most importantly Voracek and Brassard. (Anyone else impressed that Voracek's put on about 18 pounds of muscle since he was drafted? And wants to add 5-10 more by training camp? -Damn-.)

I'm so excited about the impact these guys may make, and how this might well shake things up in September.

Prospect camp is the first week of July this year. Part of me is seriously thinking about taking vacation that week and going to some of the open practices.

Yeah, i think these guys see holes. And they also see that a just a bit more would have put us in the playoffs, that they have a chance to build a winner here in Cowlumbus.

Plus, the more they do this? The more it hopefully rubs off on this year's draft picks and our future players.
