when I was at the Clippers game, I heard scuttlebut that the Nats players and coaches were not looking forward to going down there - mainly because the schools were terrible.

I can believe it.

I will miss a lot of the Nats guys. They have been good people and even if the team didn't succeed as well as it might have, they always seemed to be putting in a lot of effort.

It was only one game, but the players seemed to interact with the fans and were far more accomodating and friendlier that the yankees were. I asked a few people around me about that and they told me I was right.

Yeah, there probably is some of that. I never tried to get up onto the fences to talk with them regularly, but I saw a lot of people who did.
