More seriously, I have to give the team a lot of credit. When they went on the massive skid in November/December, we counted them out. We thought it was the same old Jackets.
It's very, very clear now that they are not. Sweeping a 6 game road trip is starting to look like a very real possibility. That's unheard of! So far they're 8-12 with two games to go. That has NEVER HAPPENED. It is literally a franchise record as it stands, and it may only be improved.
There was a point in the early going, especially after injuries started to pile up, where my faith wavered.
It's not wavering anymore. If we can keep this kind of performance up past the all star break and going into the Feb/March stretch....well, you know what I'm hoping for. What we're all hoping for.
I think it just might happen.
