They're looking good this year! I love hockey. I go to tons of Thrasher games down here. My son got drafted by the Thrashers last year!

First kid from Georgia to ever get drafted into the NHL. I tried to get him to go to OSU and be a Buckeye, but he decided to go to BU instead.

He was so clearly proud of his kid. :) It was really awesome.

I took a quick look...and found him. 4th rounder. Not bad!

I'll have to keep an eye on the Thrasher's camp for the next couple years. If he makes the squad, I'll have to send Dad a congratulations. :)

Killer. Let him know that if he makes a trip north at the right time, tickets might be avalaible. Sounds like a good guy, and no doubt he has reason to be proud-- simply being drafted is honor enough.

I have an 11 year old step-nephew who's being scouted. But that's a long way from the draft. Bet the kid can play a bit.

Oh, yeah. :) He just mentioned coming from Chicago, so I'm sure he's mostly glad to be home for now, but it's a very cool thing.
