Survived the first class, buying books, and I'm *gasp* at work for most of today so we can keep the helpdesk running while people get class schedules finalized.

On the upside, since most of the people want fixed hours, and I can be "trusted" (;D), I'm being given "floating" office hours where I try to come in, work on stuff, especially faculty machines, and probably won't have to -touch- the phones after this Friday or so.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Arrrgh!

That's right. Everyone goes back this week. Except for us at Georgia State. We've already been back a week.

Glad to see that things are settling well for you, Matt. And I will agree, being trusted enough to run your own work is a wonderful thing. That's pretty much how my set up goes here at school. Of course, the more you do, the sooner you finish your degree.

The only class I'm really taking this semester is Biostatistics. Should prove very useful, as it will fill a lot of gaps that I just have NOT been cluing in on when it comes to presenting my information to a community of my peers. Lord Kelvin pretty much summed it up when he said that being able to express an idea or findings in numbers is the first step to gaining true scientific understanding of the world around you.

From some of the problems I saw coming from some of the other members of the M3 gorup, biostatistics should be a prerequisite to some upper level ecology courses

Yaaay! Floating Office Hours are FUN! I should know, for that is what I've gotten to work but rarely. I had to reach a minimum of logged hours, and everything else was honky-dory. ^^

I'm not going to school this semester . . *sigh* . . need to work more hours and whatnot. :(
