Think of 15 albums that had such a profound effect on you they changed your life or the way you looked at it. They sucked you in and took you over for days, weeks, months, years. These are the albums that you can use to identify time, places, people, emotions. These are the albums that no matter what they were thought of musically shaped your world.
1. Beethoven's 5th Symphony (Cleveland Symphony Orchestra)
2. Metallica - Black Album
3. Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
4. Nadesico: The Prince of Darkness motion picture OST
5. U2 - Achtung Baby
6. Rage Against The Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles
7. BBC Radiophonic Workshop - The Five Doctors (Dr. Who)
8. Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
9. Pink Floyd - The Wall
10. Gary Hoey - The Endless Summer II
11. VAST - Visual Audio Sensory Theatre
12. Thou Shalt Not - The Holiness of Now
13. Great Big Sea - Turn
14. Faure - Requiem in G
15. John Williams - Star Wars Trilogy
Some of these probably look really odd, but I can honestly say there are parts of my life that revolved around these albums...particularly the year in Wooster Chorus where, thanks to all the practice, if I was thinking about music, the Faure was the only thing that could possibly come to mind.
