I already did another post-game recap for FanBase (hey, they invite me to write for them, I'd damn well better, yes?), but I left out a personal note.

When I got out for lunch today at work, I had a thought of 'Hey, isn't my Jersey supposed to be done soon?' I'd sent it out for customizing a few weeks ago, after it came in from NHL.com.

So I called the people at Tuttle, and they transferred me down to the main Blue Line over at Nationwide, and I was told, Yes! It had been finished that morning, and yes, they'd be happy to hold it for me there before the game.

Not only does the jersey still fit well (and I was surprised that the Blue Line manager asked me where I'd gotten it! I explained I went to NHL.com after they'd been unable to order it in my size- she apparently has been trying to get more herself), but the customizing is perfect. I know some people say the heat pressed letters aren't a big deal, but you put my stitched one next to Alex's heat-pressed St. Louis one, and you -can- tell the difference.

The fact that I was able to add one of the JHM memorial patches makes it even better. Having been christened with victory, I can't wait to end up wearing it to my first CBJ playoff game.

Just one more perfect moment in a fantastically fun night.

I have to agree with the heat pressed lettering. It just doesn't feel right. Now if you aren't going to worry about the look, and just want the lettering, the heat press is fine. If you do care, spend the extra $15-20 for the stitching, it's definitely worth it.
