Apr. 8th, 2009 12:01 pm- 13:55 Best part of Central Park? Beautiful -and- quiet! #
- 14:24 Oh wow. Just met Brian Burke @ NHL store. #
- 14:44 @OneSeasonNHL - Nice enough to talk to me. :) Wished him good luck and didn't hold him up. He was getting shirts, looked like. #
- 15:59 Taking a break at the hotel. And painkillers. Alison "helpfully" booked ferry to Statue of Liberty at 7AM tomorrow. Ugh. #
- 22:26 A cheesecake wrapped in fudge icing wrapped in two layers of devils food cake wrapped in more fudge and topped w/ choc. chips. My God. #
- 08:30 Early morning trip to the Statue fucking sucks. Actually...visiting statue in general just as frustrating and dull as remembered. #
- 09:06 Alison dragged us out here, kept nagging about schedule and wanting to do the monument tour. Then drags us to...the cafeteria. ARGH. #
- 09:16 Trying not to get frustrated more, but Alison can't grasp that I've been here before and hasn't changed. It's a statue. That's the point! #
- 09:18 @Melangerie - You don't like devil's food cake? #
- 09:49 The fire exit stairs off the statue's pedastal are made of wood. Does that concern anyone else? #
- 09:51 Sun's out as I walked to the tip of Liberty island. Had a beautiful angle so I took advantage for pictures. #
- 10:40 Tried to meet back up at plaza. Plaza at the flagpole closed by police and we're stuck in gift shop with cops at door. #
- 10:44 Ah-hah. Nice man just carried by 2 more cops and a ranger to a police boat. Interesting. #
- 11:11 @Melangerie - ! #
- 11:14 Just talked to a guy claiming to be Auguste Bartholdi. Employed by park? Or TIME TRAVEL? #
