Classes were good today. Discussing the myth and ritual of marraige and foods in America was great. (Hell, watching the faces of the class when the professor made people explain -why- a picture of a woman in a wedding dress, holding a fur muff filled with strawberries was sexual and virginal at the same time. Especially when she made one guy who wouldn't stop blushing say "Dripping muff" 3 times fast!)
On the other hand...chorus was paintful. No enjoyment at all, he was pissy, and people kept messing things up. Not fun.
To be honest, I think I'd have been happier if I'd just skipped.
We have a concert Wednesday. (Even if the publicity materials skip over the fact that we're singing with the touring choir from England we're singing with. 3 pages about the Claire College Choir, tho.)
I seriously think I'm going to drop chorus after Wednesday....unless I get a reason not to. But I don't see that.
I haven't felt joy in my singing for at least a year. Perhaps two....sometimes I get it back when I sing for myself, alone, quiet...but not with the chorus
