(no subject)

The right thing is hard, sometimes. But sometimes it's not.

Went to the Wal-mart, raincheck cash in hand.

They had one Prime left.

I took it from the shelf.

Then a 10 year old kid walked up looking for them. Asked if that was the last one.

Looked at him. Looked at Prime. Looked at my hands.

"Yup. Here. He's yours."

Gave it to the kid, and turned away.

His mom popped out of the aisle to thank me.

I used the money to buy the Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack and lunch, instead.

There's no better thing than giving a child a toy to imagine with.

it is just amazing to know that there are still people like you inthe world. Most people would just be like ha ha kid, get hre faster next time. But you gave up something you really wanted to make a child happy. That is a very noble thing in my book. So I think that you should be told that. It's nice to bet todl that you are a really wonderful person sometimes, so here's a time for you.

Have a merit badge, boy scout. :) The world needs more people like that in the world, especially as a father that has seen 'collectors' snag stuff off the shelves and ignored any kids that may have wanted one, or worse, sneered at them as they play the bigger better card..

Of course, it helps that the Primes here are stacked like firewood.. Transformers just doesn't sell down here. There's still even marked down RiDs on the shelves.
