Today has been an excessively good day.
First, the aforementioned sleeping in bit. I decided this is a good thing that I should do more often.
Second, I kinda just relaxed until my 2:30 class. Read a book, played some Brood war, wrote a bit of a paper, and enjoyed m'self. Went to class, was good. Had an early dinner, where I actually taught the cooking staff how to keep the potstickers from coming apart while frying them, then came back to dorm.
At dorm, a party had spontaneously erupted on the lawn. A band from the dorm next door was playing, people were throwing frisbees, others were lounging, and in general pretty girls, pretty grass, and pretty sunshine were doing nice things.
Then it got even better, as a few people who know I swordfight produced practice boffing swords like mine (PVC core, PVC insultation, duct tape cover, electrical tape handle), and asked if I'd like to do sparring. Went and got my 2-hander, practiced against several one-handers, taught a little bit, and when one person in particular was having trouble, finally dropped my sword and had her use me as a human target for a bit. My arms and legs are sore now, but she shows improvement, especially after I picked my sword back up.
It's a good, good day. And I have about 20 fried potstickers in my fridge courtesy the cooks as a "thank you!" for later when I will probably want to eat again, since "dinner" was the first food I'd had since lunch yesterday. :D
Oh, and I've noticed my body is -definetly- telling me that it's Spring. (The amount of girls tanning on the lawn didn't hurt for that either.)
All in all, I am a happy Matt.
