It's interesting how time changes us.

I've been waiting outside because Noelle called saying she was going to come visit, and to please be out to let her in about 3. (Of course, it's now 3:30 with no sign of her, but this is also kinda normal.

It has however given me the chane to talk to all the people arriving today as they came in, and I got the same question from quite a few of them.

"Where's Isa? Isn't she visiting you?"

A year ago, that might have hurt.
6 months ago, I would have found it sad.
Now I just find it amusing.

I think this is an improvement.

She's not the person I miss anymore.
She's not the person I wish would somehow find a way to drop in.
She's not even someone who I half wonder if will show up.

Time passes. Wounds heal.

In a move that I've been putting off and finally did, I bought a DVD player today. Apex, fairly simple, region 1, does do the Asian format VCDs, tho. All I really need for thesis research when I want to examine a scene and type notes. ($65)

Wal-Mart also had mis-priced Armada Megs. down to $20. So I got him. :D Haven't taken either out of the box yet, tho.

Went out to dinner with Noelle, who visited, as mentioned. Grandparents were supposed to come with some stuff we agreed to store for Phil, never arrived. Their phone's been busy since 4pm, I assume the incident will be explained later.

I'm fairly good shape, methinks. Here comes cabling!
