Jan. 4th, 2003 10:22 amWelcome both
snowspinner and
ninniane to the show.
Going for a haircut in a few minutes, and very likely going to grab
ijikeru to go watch the extended version of FoTR at my place, since she's not yet.

Jan. 4th, 2003 04:32 pmGot hair cut. It's just about my shoulders, and looks good. It's odd not having hair down to my back.
Went to Comic Town and hooked up with the old BattleTech group. Much fun was had. Took 5 mechs out, and had 5 left at the end. Didn't do quite as well as I'd have liked in performance, but practically, quite well.

Jan. 4th, 2003 06:29 pmWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT.
While I have been assigned a roommate (and a fairly incompatible one, living habits wise), it is NOT lost.
Why?
Because Jon doesn't want to live with me, either. We both understand that the other is a good guy, but it's not something that would work for rooming. And he wants to live off campus.
THERE IS HOPE.

Jan. 4th, 2003 09:46 pm....so Christopher Lee isn't just one of the most badassly skilled actors of stage and screen. And he's not just one of the smartest men alive. And he's not just one of the 20-odd people in the world who's fluent in ALL of the Tolkien Elvish languages.
He's also a decorated vetran of the British Special Air Service and fought in WWII.
And I thought that Samuel L. Jackson was a badass. Wow.

Jan. 4th, 2003 11:26 pmOkay, so maybe having the house to myself today is a bit of a corrupting influence.
Stained my shirt with some coke, as drinking a can while fully reclined in the barkolounger is not the easiest thing in the world to do.
Solution: Strip to the waist, then toss shirt into the basement at an angle that managed to hit the pre-sorted dirty clothes pile. (I was very impressed I made the shot, and I think the cats were too. At least I hope so. It was sorta for their benefit, after all.) Then wander around half naked. I continue to do the half naked thing. It's kinda fun.
I like this whole "not having to worry about other people in the house" thing. Shame it won't be repeated for a good damn long while.
