Oh, god. I'm really too old to stay up until 4am playing D&D, trading stories, and eventually going into Euchre and Bridge games with a bunch of the other alumni and old friends who are visiting, but it was so fun.

skarlette is also the most wonderful girlfriend in the world for understanding when I asked if she'd mind me leaving to go hang out with them tonight. She was totally cool and wonderful, and since I don't think I've done so lately, I just wanted to make sure I'd written down in this space that I love her.

I love her. Lots. Thank you, love, for not minding me taking time for what we try to save for each other to do this. I understand what it meant.

Thank you to everyone I spend time with tonight, and since I haven't, yet, I also wish Pam and Fuzzy Bunny (aka Doug), a wonderful life together after their wedding today. All blessings and happiness to you.

I feel really excited, exhausted, and reminded of days past. I feel very warm and fuzzy, and it was a wonderful night.

Shouldn't have stayed up til 7am with Lisa, on reflection, as I feel a bit run through a woodchipper, but she was utterly, utterly worth it, and we both had a lot of fun. :D

A half salad and a cup of soup is a wierd thing to get excited about, but I am.

As I've been trying to diet, portion control has been a major issue.

Today, I didn't even think about it. Lowry was closed when I went over to try and get lunch at 3, so I went to the North end, thinking I'd do grocery shopping as well. (And I did. As a side note, anyone needing meat products in Wooster should go to Bueller's, this week. They're doing a very good sale.)
I noticed Applebee's was doing lunch specials, hadn't been there for a bit, so I went in. Looked over the menu. And ended up just getting a half caesar salad and a cup of soup. It was all I really felt I needed. And I didn't even realize just what I'd done until I'd had my food, paid, and left the restaurant.

It's working. And that's really, really exciting. I'm doing portion control, and eating better.

Oh. Also, while out, I decided to pick up one of the Halo toys from Sam Goody. And to my surprise, the price had come down to $16 apiece. They had 1 Cortana, 1 Warthog, and 7 MC's. I got the Warthog.

It's a fun little toy. I like it, and some of the little details (adjustable angle on the gatling, suspension, wheels), are rather nice.

Seeing the effort put into this, the Cortana figure pisses me off even more. They put so much effort into this, the Chief, and the Covenant stuff (even if it hasn't arrived in Wooster, the pictures are pretty obvious), and then Cortana they totally fell down on. When a figure is made for nearly pure visual values, they should have put far more effort into making visual features, and not simply relying to the 'light up' features on the base.
