(no subject)

Intended to do another phonepost this morning, as I find it to be a really keen technowidget, but waking up a bit later than I planned to kinda derailed that. (Ahh, the seductive snooze bar.)

Going to see Bubba-Ho-Tep this evening with dklegman, his crew, John from work, and a few of John's gaming buddies. Should be a fun night, and then I get to come home to skarlette.

Mustn't forget I have the Madrigal dinner tomorrow, too. And since we all get to dress up and get there on time, I get to leave Wooster at, like, 2ish. Yay! I'll probably be staying there overnight, as things look now, and doing a good bit of laundry. I should also be getting the money for the computer parts, so I expect I'll be ordering stuff by Tuesday. (I'll probably actually take the money to the teller to deposit on Monday, rather than waiting for an ATM deposit to clear.)

It should be a long, but hopefully rewarding weekend.

So it's lunchtime, and I'm not actually going to lunch yet, despite being hungry. It's the shell shock, you see.

Went to the PEC for what was supposed to be a minor email problem and got hit with no less than 10 people demanding me for 'emergencies', 2 dead machines, lots of serious problems, and being screamed at by a secretary because the POS 'security' program for OS 9 she got off the internet wasn't working how she wanted to.

Because the secretary for the swimming and lacrosse coaches has so much sensitive data that nobody else can see if she leaves her desk. Really.

On the other hand, it could be worse. I could still be trying to deal with Those People, as Robert E. Lee so smoothly coined the epithet.

On a less sarcastic note, had a conversation with Lisa just before bed that reminded me of just how much we compliment each other, and how much it means to me that she is there.

Okay. I'm gonna try to get up and go get something to eat now. Wish me luck.
