bzarcher: A Sylveon from Pokemon floating in the air, wearing a pair of wingtip glasses (Crack!)
I am having what might be called a PMS-y day, were I a woman.

I've been working on a couple very finicky machines for a couple very finicky users most of the day, and while I am keeping myself polite on the phone, I am growling and everyone and everything in sight. Almost everything has nearly pissed me off today, and I actually took one dead machine that I had to salvage a custom riser card for that model (The shit-tastic Gateway E-3400) out of, and due to the fact that it was very difficult about relinquishing the card, I kicked the shit out of it to the point where people came out of their offices to see if something that fallen and buried me in the PC storage room.

The drive will do me good. 3 hours to calm down.

But fuck, I want to be out of here.

...

The first purely non-work, no productivity thing I choose to do today to the exclusion of anything else was to watch the Spider-Man 2 trailer after delivering 2 'emergency' systems out to offices.

So of course I got yelled at by Kathy for not doing enough work when I'm leaving for 2 days of this week.

Nevermind that the CTS is at low double digits for open records (unheard of during the year), that I've been taking calls for everyone else so that they could do projects, and that when she said there was 'plenty of work' that I could be doing, she couldn't actually give me any when I did 2 more calls for the Michaels and then asked if she had stuff she needed picked up.

It can't be that I've actually been doing my job well enough that I could take a 1:32 break, right?

I took my lumps, and didn't say anything, but honestly. Out for 2 days or not, considering that the entire office goofs out at one point or another just about daily (including her!), I don't think she really had room. Especially since one of the calls I worked on a good chunk of the day was to cover something she asked me to take this morning.

Gwar.

In other annoying news: my work cellphone's on the fritz. Again. And I think the antenna is broken.
